The Global Automotive Research Centre (GARC) is a premier automotive testing, certification, and R&D facility situated in southern automotive hub of country at Oragadam, Tamil Nadu under the aegis of National Automotive Board (NAB). GARC plays a crucial role in vehicle homologation, testing, and research.

Homologation & Certification
- GARC is an authorized Type Approval & Certification Agency under CMVR Rule 126, which allowing it to certify vehicles and components for roadworthiness.
- Provides testing services for passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and electric vehicles (EVs).

GARC is equipped with world-class testing labs and proving grounds that enable comprehensive assessment of vehicles and components, including:
Passive Safety & Crash Testing Lab – Facilities for frontal, side, rear impact tests, pedestrian safety evaluation, and airbag deployment analysis.
Powertrain & Emission Testing – Enables BS-VI compliance, hybrid, and EV powertrain validation.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing – Evaluates electronic interference in modern vehicles.
