The EMC Labs at Global Automotive Research Centre (GARC) is a center of excellence and International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) is the state-of-the-art facilities that test automotive electronics, powertrains, communication systems, and safety-critical components for compliance with national and international EMC standards.

GARC – EMC Lab

The GARC EMC Testing Laboratory is a cutting-edge facility supporting automotive EMC compliance testing for vehicles and components.

Capabilities:

Full-Vehicle EMC Testing

  • Tests passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and EVs for electromagnetic emissions and immunity.
  • Complies with AIS-004, CISPR 12, and UN-ECE R10 standards.

Electronic Control Unit (ECU) & Component Testing

  • Evaluates vehicle sensors, powertrain electronics, ADAS systems, and infotainment units.

Radiated & Conducted Emissions Testing

  • Detects unwanted electromagnetic signals that may interfere with vehicle electronics.

Radiated & Conducted Immunity Testing

ESD & Electrical Transient Testing

ICAT – EMC Lab

The ICAT EMC Testing Facility is one of the most advanced in India, offering comprehensive testing for electromagnetic emissions, immunity, and susceptibility in vehicles, components, and sub-systems.
